What are essential oils?
Essential oils are very concentrated oils from plants, flowers and herbs that are very condensed and full of benefits. Primarily extracted through careful steam distillation but also through cold pressing, the purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanicals from which they were extracted.
How do you stay safe?
Although essential oils are great and powerful, they have to be approached with some caution. Always check with your doctor before consuming essential oils and always go for pure, organic brands. Avoid essential oils if you’re pregnant as it could be harmful. If using topically, always dilute with a carrier oil ( we like coconut or castor). As long as you do your research before using them, you’ll enjoy it and stay safe.
How can you use them?
The most popular use for essential oils is to use them in a diffuser. This requires dropping some oil into a room diffuser which releases the scent into the air.
