Dry skin can be a burden: it flakes when you apply makeup, it can be itchy, and it can cause you to become self-conscious. As with all skin types, there are ways you can limit the effect of your dry skin by having a good skincare routine.
Part of your skincare routine should involve a rich natural moisturiser if you have dry skin. If applied twice daily, this will keep skin hydrated and smooth. It will also make your foundation application much easier, as it will banish flakey skin. If you use a moisturiser frequently and consistently, hopefully, you will begin to see a difference within a few weeks.
If you apply your natural moisturiser when your skin is damp after a bath or shower, this will help to lock in moisture. Pat your skin with a towel before applying your moisturiser. Leave your face to dry naturally whilst the product soaks in for gorgeously smooth skin.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLEANSERS
When buying cleansers and face washes, make sure you buy hydrating ones. Ones that are aimed at oily skin will cause your skin to dry out more, especially ones that are extremely exfoliating. Gentle exfoliation is a good idea once a week with dry skin, but over exfoliating will cause your skin to become even drier.
